COVID-19 Protection Framework
All clinics are operating under Red COVID-19 Protection Framework guidelines. Please remember to bring and wear your mask and sign into the clinic using the QR code or sign-in sheet provided.
BOOSTER VACCINATIONS
If you are 18 years or older and have been fully vaccinated for at least three months, you are now eligible for your free COVID-19 booster.
Receiving a booster dose of the vaccine will help protect our communities from the effects of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 by reducing the chance of more serious infection and the risk of transmitting it to others.
If you are pregnant, aged 18 years and older, it is recommended you receive a booster of the Pfizer vaccine to help protect you and your baby against the effects of COVID-19. The booster can be given at any stage of pregnancy, at least 3 months after your primary course (for most people, this is 2 doses).
You should discuss the timing of a booster with your midwife, obstetrician or general practitioner.
The Pfizer vaccine is the primary vaccine being used in New Zealand for booster doses, even if you had a different vaccine for your earlier doses.
Vaccination clinics are open across the region and many locations offer walk-in options with no need to book an appointment.
To find out where your nearest vaccination clinic is, head to www.healthpoint.co.nz or call 0800 MDHB VAX (6342 829).
